Been there.  But more likely, it was me (or Sarah) talking to a deer…

Oh my god Michelle, have these people been following us around?

Adorable Animal Being Adorable of the Day: A featherless baby penguin was recently welcomed into the world at Laohutan Pole Aquarium in Dalian, China — though not by its parents, who abandoned the sickly chick to fend for itself.
Happily, the aquarium staff adopted the helpless hatchling, and reared it with the help of some stuffed animals until it sprouted some feathers and was ready to return to its waddle.

The Lovers of Valdaro.

Believed to be no older than twenty years of age when death occurred.
Over 5,000 years old.
Locked in an eternal embrace.

Tragically, their story is unknown.
Ironically, they were found in the city of Mantua. In Italy.
The city Shakespeare chose to set the story of Romeo & Juliet.

Quote reblogged from le silence uni de l'hiver

Every day we slaughter our finest impulses. That is why we get a heartache when we read those lines written by the hand of a master and recognize them as our own, as the tender shoots which we stifled because we lacked the faith to believe in our own powers, our own criterion of truth and beauty. Every man, when he gets quiet, when he becomes desperately honest with himself, is capable of uttering profound truths. We all derive from the same source. there is no mystery about the origin of things. We are all part of creation, all kings, all poets, all musicians; we have only to open up, only to discover what is already there.
— Henry Miller (via sircrowley)
